Casino industry distances itself from those that don’t follow rules

Due to the unscrupulous behavior of some online casinos across the globe, the industry has received some less-than-favorable press in recent months. However, despite the isolated incidents, the industry as a whole is attempting to rehabilitate its image by pointing to its history of responsible gambling.

Casino.com reports that most of the leading online casinos have gone through the proper routes, including acquiring government approval, before launching. Additionally, the industry points to the fact that most online casinos in Europe go to great lengths to prove that they are following the numerous laws put in place.

"The truth is that a number of these online gambling companies will jump through any regulation and licensing hoops to follow the jurisdictions set up by that market," the website writes.

It’s the reputation created by some unfavorable casinos that is holding up the legalization of online gambling in the United States. Some local politicians, including some in New Jersey, Nevada and Washington, D.C. have been working hard to get legalisation passed to support online casinos.
