The legalization of online gambling continues to inch closer to becoming a reality, as the U.S. Department of Justice legal opinion opened the floodgates for states and their online gaming destinations, according to the news channel KAAL-TV.

Iowa State Senator Jeff Danielson has been promoting the legalization of online poker in the state due to the potential economic benefits. Danielson is first focusing on poker and then will possibly branch out to other popular casino games.

The new bill will also benefit the local casinos, as they will be able to add the online gambling to their websites. In addition, these sites will be secure and well-established, the media outlet reports.

"They always want to make sure that it is regulated and that no minors are gambling. And through regulations I think we can establish a fine that would deter people from gambling," Kim Pang, general manager at Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, told the news source.

Which state do you think will be the first to legalize online gambling completely – including online roulette, poker, craps and slots? Why do you think that state will be the first?
