Mobile gaming increases betting during work hours

A new survey conducted by gaming site Roxy Palace has found that employees are starting to bet more on their smartphones while at work than ever before, according to Intergameonline.com.

The results showed that one in 20 employees aged 45 and younger take a little break from their everyday routine and place a bet or play a quick casino game in the last year. Among the employees who admitted they placed a couple bets while at work, 76 percent of them did so on a mobile device such as a smartphone or an iPad.

"We all like to break up our day in different ways, whether it be making a quick cup of coffee, stepping outside for a cigarette, or going for a walk," a spokesperson for Roxy Palace. "However, it seems an increasing number of workers are now turning to online gambling as a way to inject some excitement into their day."

Do you think you would play your favorite online roulette, poker or slots game while at work? Do you currently have games on your phone and you play while at work?
