Roulette Insights #7: Avoiding Terrible Strategies

It might surprise you to see this title, but avoiding bad roulette strategies is just as important as following good ones. However, if you’re familiar with the game of roulette, then you already know that there are no profitable roulette strategies unless you’re playing live and there is an imperfect wheel. Otherwise, you’re going to come across a lot of charlatans.

For example, you want to be on the lookout for those who promote the 1-3-2-4 Roulette System. The theory is that you will maximize your wins while ahead. You might have noticed that the progression is 1-3-2-4 instead of 1-2-3-4. The creator of the system never explains the reason for this, which is scary in itself.

When you read about this roulette strategy, you will notice that the author states that the goal is to benefit from hot streaks that are unpredictable. Yes, this is somewhat of an oxymoron. If the hot streaks are unpredictable, then how can you have a strategy that is profitable? The creator also admits that roulette is luck-oriented. Then he begins to promote the Martingale System, which is not a good system for a long term strategy. Finally, the creator states that this roulette system only works when the same color comes up several times in a row. That’s laughable. Even if you have no system and you’re just continuously betting the same color, wouldn’t you benefit if the same color came up several times in a row? Therefore, this roulette system has no purpose.

The bottom line is to be careful of people who are promoting roulette accompanied by ‘new’ or ‘unbeatable’ roulette systems. You’re better off sticking to a system you devise on your own. The odds say that it will lead to the same results.
