Study: One in five men gamble online

A new survey shed some light on the online entertainment habits of men and women, and the results are somewhat surprising. The Daily Mail reports that although a higher percentage of men report playing online games, the women who do actually do so more frequently than expected.

The study, conducted by Doritos, found that 50 percent of men considered themselves frequent gamers, but women were not far behind at 49 percent. Furthermore, those women said they spend 23.2 percent of their time playing, while men only reported about 22.3 percent.

When it comes to playing games like online roulette, however, men took the cake. According to the news source, guys were more likely to log on to online gambling websites, with one in five respondents saying they regularly played.

The findings are not surprising to some people who say that mobile devices are becoming an increasingly more prominent part of everyday culture.

“These days, people are on their mobiles at dinner, they spend hours on the computer or watching TV,” relationship expert Douglas Weiss told the news provider.

UK gambling analysts Online Casino Friend recently announced its top such websites, sighting the virtual worlds of Betway Casino, Casino del Rio and Gnuf Casino as the top three.
